Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington proudly unveils a spectacular 3D Model and a 3D Virtual Tour of their Future New Jain Temple
The Chief Guest, Dr. Vinod Shah, former president of AAPI and a well-known philanthropist and community leader, congratulated the JSMW Society on this milestone event and spoke about the importance of coming together as a community. JSMW Chairman, Dr. Sushil Jain, motivated the community members by his energizing speech. “The 3D virtual tour felt so real, and touched us all emotionally and spiritually”, said the JSMW first lady, Mrs. Meenal Zaveri.
JSMW members generously donated nearly $600,000 at the event, with the Society looking to break ground this summer.
The founders of the Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington established the temple in 1980 with the objective of promoting better understanding and following of Jain principles, preserving our rich heritage, and passing it on to future generations. From the initial membership of 20 families in 1980, Jain Society membership has grown to nearly 650 families and has remained a cohesive, harmonized society. The current Jain Center is located in Silver Spring, MD and the new Jain Center is being planned on nearly 5.5 acres in Beltsville, MD.
