The word ‘Navpad’ means nine supreme posts of the universe – Arihant\, Siddha\, Acharya\, Upadhyay\, Sadhu\, Darshan (right belief)\, Jnan (right knowledge)\, Charitra (right action) and Tapa (right austerity) \nJain literature (Kalpasutra) indicates that Navpad Oli is Shaswati\, meaning permenant.
