DESCRIPTION:Full Information Flyer:  Click Here \nThis is an excellent opportunity to perform community service\, publicize Jainism to the mainstream\, and volunteer services directly to the needy. Names of about 20 to 25 dedicated volunteers (on first come\, first served) will be collected to help. If you are interested in volunteering\, please contact Nilesh Shah (Nilesh_shah99@yahoo.com) at 240-899-8682 or Bhupesh Mehta (bhupesh@bhupeshmehta.com) at 240.455.4524. \nThe Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington has actively volunteered at DC Central Kitchen for over a decade\, starting in 2009. Unfortunately\, our volunteering activities were temporarily suspended in recent years due to the Covid pandemic. However\, we are thrilled to announce that the new facility\, the Klein Center\, established by DC Central Kitchen\, is now open for us to resume our volunteer work. The Klein Center\, located at 2121 1st Street SW\, Washington\, DC 20024\, is not a homeless shelter but serves as a central hub for meal preparation and distribution to various shelters and schools throughout DC. This modern two-story facility features a state-of-the-art\, computerized industrial kitchen where only trained professionals are allowed to cook meals.\nThe sponsor for this November 2023 event is Kantibhai & Sudhaben Udani. If you would like to make an additional donation for this event\, please feel free to contact us.
